Swatch Day - Sugar House Lane

Hey everybody! It's a gross rainy Monday and I have appropriately crappy pics. I am still experimenting around the house to find good places to be taking my pics.

Today is a swatch day because I just couldn't resist using my newest purchase, Nails Inc. Sprinkles Special Effects in Sugar House Lane. Oh Sephora how I have missed you, I'll be back soon. I couldn't decide between this shade or the blue based one so the husband guy picked for me. I have to say he did a good job because I am loving this polish. Pardon the craptastic pics while you take a look at this beauty.

Polishes used:
  • Seche Rebuild base coat / Seche Vite top coat
  • Nails Inc. Sprinkles Special Effects Sugar House Lane

This is actually my very first Nails Inc. polish. All pics are with two easy coats though with a thick enough hand you could probably get away with one coat. Just for the sake of conserving my precious I will probably use this in a single layer over a nude base. It's not super gritty though it does feel a tiny bit bumpy, so you may want to use two coats of top coat. Personally I was fine with one, I don't mind the tiny bit of texture. As for color I am in love. From far away it's a classy neutral that goes with everything and the closer you get the more fun and sparkle shows up. Plus it looks like one of those chocolate shakes with oreos crumbled in it, how can you not love that? Dang, now I want ice cream. The only very tiny thing I didn't like was cleaning up the stray glitter but I expected it and it wasn't awful by any means. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and this polish is definitely in my top 10 favorites of my collection.

I also have a lovely surprise for you all today. The amazing people at the Born Pretty Store have given me a special code just for my readers to use for an awesome 10% off! It will be in the sidebar after this post for your easy shopping convenience. All you need to do is enter the code at checkout, pretty easy right? Thank you Born Pretty!

And now to apologize for my terrible pics, I give you Chewie fully healed after his neuter and helping us move. He safeguarded us from that evil packing paper all day.

  1. Love that kitty face. I bought this collection but haven't tried it yet. Just doesn't call to me for some reason.

    1. I think I'm just a sucker for the black glitter. Many ankles were saved that day by his brave paper-biting heroics :P
