Swatch Day - China Glaze Fast Track

Hey everybody! I'm back from vacation and I bring you the last of the swatches for a while.

Here is China Glaze Fast Track, again from the Capitol Colors collection. This was actually really hard to photograph but I am in love with this polish. Looky!

Polishes used:

  • Seche Rebuild base coat / Seche Vite top coat
  • China Glaze Fast Track (pictures are two coats)

Okay so I was concerned about this one. I saw so many beautiful swatches around the interwebs and I loved it on everyone, I just didn't know how it would react to my paleness. (As a quick aside, I am now sporting a normal person color, for once I didn't burn on vacation!! IT'S A SUMMER MIRACLE GUYS!) This turned such a gorgeous light taupe and the golden flecks and shimmer warmed it up just right. I wore this for a week by itself, I loved it THAT much. It will definitely be starring as the base for many a stamping in the future. The formula was wonderful just like the rest of the collection which made me a happy camper. First coat scared me because it was so sheer but the second gave full opacity with no problems.

Sorry for the short post today, to make up for it on Wednesday I'll show you the nail art I wore at the beginning of vacation and (of course what you all REALLY want to know) what kind of pretties I found to bring home with me! Now off I go to play catch up ^_^

  1. It's great to have you back, and without a sunburn LOL
This color would definitely not look good on me - but I see that you was taken by surprise by it - so I might be to LOL

    1. Thank you! It was a bit darker than I expected but I've seen it look more pale on other people, I think this is one of those ones you just have to try on.

  2. I love it...it looks really good on you! Hope you had a fun, yet relaxing vacation. Yes, please we would like to see what pretties you found. Isn't that one of the most important things about any trip...planning for nail polish shopping? Lol.

    1. I drooled over swatches of this when the collection first came out and man it's even better in person! The gold shimmer kills me <3

  4. I didn't expect to love Fast Track as much as I do, but that shimmer is just so amazing against the barely-there base. Haven't seen it stamped over yet, though--would love to see what you do with it!

I've never, ever gotten any kind of a tan in my life; I always go straight from ghost to lobster. >_<

    1. I keep looking at it next to other colors and going oooo I can stamp with this and this and this lol

I usually am also either ghost or lobster, this normal person thing is weirding me out a bit.

    1. I have a feeling this bottle is gonna go fast, I probably should have gotten two. Even the husband guy was all like "Didn't you have that on yesterday?" >.<

  6. Oh poor pinky! He looks so sad still. I really wanted that color, one of the few from the collection, but it was never at my Sally's!

I'm pretty sure the girls that work there keep the polishes they want and never put them in the display. IT'S A CONSPIRACY I TELL YOU!!

    1. Mr. Pinky is no longer alone. There was another accident over vacation and I couldn't ignore two short nails so now they're all tiny >.<

Dude I swear the ones here do the same thing! I wanted Riveting so bad and every time I asked if they had it one girl would like smirk. I think we need to call Dateline or something, this is totally newsworthy.

    1. It's even better in person, it's such a great neutral with personality. I really don't think I've seen anything quite like it.
