Fourth of July Bonanza!

Hey everybody! Happy Fourth to all who celebrate it and I guess happy Wednesday to the rest of you :P

Today I have the obligatory patriotic mani plus vacation goodies! Kinda pic spammy so I'll make a cut and then all of the cool people will hang around after the jump. Let's get this party started!

I really dislike this holiday mani. I had so many great ideas but when I sat down to polish none of them seemed to work out. So after about five complete fails I ended up with this. Completely uninspired, unoriginal, and with sloppy stamping to boot. Oh well, can't win em all. I blame vacation mentality. On the plus side, look at that tan! That's real folks, no photoshop and no sunburn. SUMMER MIRACLES!

Polishes used:
  • Seche Rebuild base coat / Seche Vite top coat
  • Essie Blanc
  • Sinful Colors Midnight Blue
  • Sinful Colors Ruby Ruby
  • Kiss Nail Art striper in silver
  • Salon Express stamping plate SE22

Ready for more fun? Follow the jump!

Did you follow? I knew you were awesome. So I had a great week on vacation, let me share some of it with you!

First here's the mani I had at the beginning of the week. I forget which Red Angel stamper I used for it, but the colors were Essie Blanc, Wet n Wild Megalast I Need A Refresh-Mint, Sinful Colors Dream On, and I forget the name of the Sally Hansen black. My mom thought it was cute ^_^

I really loved this mani, it made me forget my nails were all so short and it was super fun and summery. Are you ready for haul pics? Yeah you are!

Left to right: Wet n Wild Party of Five Glitters, Wet N Wild Megalast I Need A Refresh-Mint, Wet n Wild Megalast On A Trip / En Voyage, OPI Austin-tatious Turquoise, Revlon Scandalous, Revlon Whimsical
Okay so the first three aren't very rare but hey, someone else was buying so of course I didn't say no. I needed a good glitter for jelly sammiches anyhow and I've been more than curious about those brushes in the Wet n Wild Megalasts. Now for the real treasures. There is NOWHERE around here to buy OPI other than the Nicole by OPI Kardashian stuff at Walmart, so I was super happy to see a huge OPI rack at the grocery store. Price Chopper for the win! Sadly I encountered this at the end of vacation when funds were low so I had to make a heartbreaking decision of only one color. After much deliberation and sighing from the husband guy, Austin-tatious Turquoise won out. I was really hoping to see the gorgeous bright pink jelly from the same collection but no such luck. In the beginning of the week I happened upon the Revlons and holy crap I never picked up a polish bottle as fast as I grabbed that Whimsical lol. Both were the very last bottles on the shelf and I never see them around here so I was all super happy dancey for the rest of the day. These beauties will be starring in some lovely posts of their own in the near future!

Whilst we were away, the kitty went to kitty vacation (boarded at a pet hotel) where he was spoiled rotten. Our doggies however came with us and insist that I show you their vacation too.

Rin sleeping on the bed, she had a long day of running around the lake.

Scully chillin with the soccer ball next to the hole she just dug.

Of course I have to show you my other two babies, my parent's dogs that have been in the family since I was just starting high school. Scully was originally part of their group but I stole her when we moved :P

Sage the Keeshond, the baby.

Schaden the Keeshond, the sweetest old lady. I call her Schady Lady.

And before I go I have to show you all one last pic of a bait stealing box turtle. I caught him while fishing and he was nice enough to hang out for a while for some pics. Ignore my very dirty hands, I was raised with fishing and horses and dirt, it's like second nature. If you're curious about the blurry polish it's Austin-tatious Turquoise with Whimsical on top (lol like I wouldn't try those suckers out as soon as I got them).

Mr. Turtle with my worm in his mouth. Jerk turtle stole my bait.

Well I think that about does it for now, I have a ton more pictures I may or may not use as inspiration and share later on. Hope you all are having a great holiday/Wednesday and if you read all of this you get a delicious cookie! See you all on Friday!

  4. I'm loving the vacay mani! Though I might have to get you to find me that BM number. I wants. Pretty please? :( < puss in boots eyes.

BUT oh em gee your pups are adorable! They're so photogenic too! I wants to squish their faces.

Mr. Turtle is also photogenic, but I can tell he was just putting on a show. Smart, he got food that way. He probably bragged about it to all his turtle friends.

    1. I went a-hunting for you, it's a Salon Express plate SE20. It came with a set of like 10 plates with my stamper. It's the cheapo as seen on tv one you can buy in Walmart though I bought it in Sally's.

Hehe I love my doggies but I missed my parents dogs. I loves mah old Schady Lady and Sagey Mo.

Dude he totally came back the next day with another turtle but I was out of worms, I felt bad. I probably looked like an idiot standing on the dock talking to myself all like "I'm sorry I hooked you in the face but you shouldn't steal people's bait... No I'm all out... NO, THERE'S NO MORE GO AWAY... I'm sorry... Stop staring at me like that"

  5. I was feeling pretty uninspired to do a 4th of July mani myself, therefore I just skipped it LOL! And omg Whimsical, so lucky you found that, I gave up searching because none of the stores near me have a spot on the rack for it so I'm pretty sure it doesn't exist in my area...

    1. There's never a space for it here either so I had a mini heart attack when I saw it haha. I may have possibly embarrassed my mom in the store >.<
