Easter - Take Two!

After listening to me ramble on about nail polish colors and how I don't have any real pastel or light shades, the Great Enabler (aka my best friend) surprised me with a gift card to Target for some Easter colors! How awesome is she?? If your answer is anything other than "I am so jealous, I wish I had a best friend that awesome!" then you are wrong and you can take your books and move to the back of the room. For the rest of you however, check out this mini haul and my new Easter mani!

My first haul! Also a thank you to my husband for going to Target to look at  nail polish after a long day, he's a good sport.

I am in love with all these colors and I can't wait to give them each their time to shine! These little chicks look a lot less deranged than my bunnies. Overall the design took a lot longer than I thought it would and it probably would have gone faster if I was at the table instead of on the couch in front of the laptop. In the end they feel more Easter-y to me than my first attempt. Please pardon my super ridiculously dry skin, I have been applying lotion like a fiend. I think the hand soap we bought is taking a toll. Also please be so kind as to ignore my inability to clean up topcoat from my cuticles. I never see it all shiny and weird on my skin until I take pics for some reason. Oh well, one more thing to work on. This mani has taught me that sometimes striper white likes to yellow a bit under the top coat, but at least you can't tell in photos.

Polishes used:
  • Sinful Colors base coat / Seche Vite top coat
  • Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow
  • Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac
  • Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet
  • Sinful Colors Hazard
  • Pure Ice Hot Tamale
  • Kiss nail artist stripers in Black and White (See told you I would learn my lesson)
So a huge THANK YOU to my enabler/bestest friend and a second huge thank you to all who are actually reading this. Have a safe and happy weekend everybody!
