Hi everyone! I was trying to decide what exactly I wanted to work on skill wise for this post and after all the bunny and chick excitement from Easter I wanted something a little less busy. Gradient sponging it was! Really it was an excuse to play with my new colors and I just couldn't resist a coral. This is my second time doing this technique and it is still a lot of fun. I even did it a little quicker than my first attempt too, progress! In person this look is a LOT more subtle than in the pics, I was afraid it wouldn't photograph well. I think next I'll try it again with another set of colors that aren't so close to each other to begin with for a more dramatic look. Check it out!
Polishes used:
- Sinful Colors base coat / Seche Vite top coat
- Sinful Colors Hazard (2 coats)
- Sally Hansen I Pink I Can (tips)
- Pure Ice Don't You Wish (1 coat)
They remind me of a summer trip to the beach. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out, though in person they're a bit too subdued for my tastes. I'm really looking forward to trying this again with either purples or greens because those I have more of a difference between the light and dark shades. I suck at decision making >.< Right now I'm leaning toward greens just cause I have a green/gold glitter I love and the new purple got to be main color in Easter nails, what do you guys think?
Kayla would adore your nails! She loves coral. Also, wow, love the gradient, it is so beachy, and warm, and gives a lovely feeling.
ReplyDeleteI vote green for next nails!
So far that's two green to Joe's purple lol.

ReplyDeleteThanks!! I was surprised I was as sad too see them go as I was since I don't usually do a lot of pinks.
