Being new to this polish obsession, my stash is admittedly very small. In fact, it all fits in one small basket on my bathroom counter. Needless to say finding nice color combinations can be tough at times. Luckily for me I have a love of gray polish and I think gray looks amazing with yellow tones. I wanted to try something new and so I went hunting through tutorials for ideas. I settled on playing with scotch tape and a dotting tool. Well, my cheapo version of a dotting tool which is a sewing pin stuck into the eraser end of a pencil. It does the job but I am kinda sad that I can't easily make different size dots. You may notice my short pinky nail and I do apologize. It broke a few days ago and I just haven't been able to bring myself to cut the others down to match it. I really loved this mani and even my husband complimented it which is a rare thing. Check out the results!
Polishes I used for this were:
Sinful Colors base coat
Sinful Colors Let's Meet
DEB brand polish in Gun Madness (dark gray)
Sally Hansen Pedal to the Metal
Seche Vite top coat
I love the combo. & That yellow is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you! That was two coats, I really thought it would take more but I was pleasantly surprised. I originally tried it over a single coat of white and it was soooo bright.
DeleteGray and yellow is of my very favorite color combinations, and you did it more than justice! LOVE the little flower detail, and how perfect you got the lines.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it since it was for you haha
